House bill 67, titled "Encourage Healthy NC Food in Schools," is an interesting one. Like most bills, the title is hiding the fact that it's really just requiring every school in NC to buy... muscadine juice.
If passed, there are about 3,000 schools in NC that would be required to buy muscadine juice. Combined, they would have to buy about 1.5 million servings every day!
And this will shock absolutely no one... the owner of Might Muscadine is a big donor to the representative that sponsored the bill:
